In
September 2002, Kiangsu - Chekiang College opened a new
International Section at 20 Braemar Hill Road, and we can
now offer students a seamless "through-train education" from the age of 3 to 18. Close to bus and MTR routes,
the
school
has the advantage of being located in an already established
College with extensive facilities, including a fully-stocked
library and physical education facilities.
We
offer a modified version of the British National Curriculum,
leading to IGCSE Examinations
in Year 11, and IB in Year 13. For the first three years
the aim is to provide students with broad based learning
opportunities, not just within the classroom confines but
through a variety of activities, including camps, drama
productions and concerts etc. The curriculum includes
4 core subjects:
English, Mandarin, Mathematics and Science. Information
Technology forms a major part of the curriculum, with
each student
being provided with their own laptop computer, which
they can use
in school and at home, for all their study activities.
In additon, Humanities, Design Technology, Art and Craft,
Drama,
Music and Physical Education are studied, and after school,
a range of optional, physical, artistic and cultural activities
are also available. More detailed information can be obtained
from the Upper School Office at 20 Braemar Hill Road, North
Point, Hong Kong.
